IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vivian (Benson)
Patanella
July 13, 1922 – June 27, 2024
Macedon – A blessing given to the world on July 13, 1922 and taken home again by God on June 27, 2024. Vivian was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Hazel Benson; daughter, Ginger; siblings, Burdette, Duane, Corrine, and LaVerne; grandson, Jason (Kelly) Graham, and son-in-law, Al Johnson.
She is survived by her daughters, Jane Johnson, Linda (Gordon) Hill, Debby Wildasin, and many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In the 1970's, Vivian moved to Illinois with her youngest daughter to attend Concordia Lutheran College and became a Kindergarten teacher. She later spent many years in Canada as a Pastor's wife, evangelizing and setting up pastoring Lutheran Churches. Her life's work was serving God.
Many will remember Vivian as the lady who was always pulling weeds wherever she went, even at restaurants. She liked to make things look beautiful. Vivian was an excellent seamstress who also crocheted, knitted, and made up countless bible quizzes to send to many friends and relatives.
"Her children rise up and call her blessed…" (Proverbs 31:28)
Vivian's greatest gift to her girls and to others was her faith in Jesus Christ. She inspired all of us to know better the God who gave her so much joy. Her kindness, smile, and sweet disposition will always be remembered.
