Poole, William L.  "Bill"

Ontario:  Passed away after a long illness on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the age of 73.  Bill was born on April 11, 1940 to Leon and Emma Poole and lived most of his life in Ontario, NY.  Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat; daughter, Andrea (Tony) Poole-Pfeiler; sister, Elsie Schrankler, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Bill served with the United States Army from 1963-1965; was a long time member of Immanuel United Church of Christ; and had served as a deacon of the church. He enjoyed listening to and singing gospel music.  Bill retired from Eastman Kodak where he had worked in human resources and film production.  Bill enjoyed showing horses and attending goat showings around New York State; he started up both a horse and a goat club.  Bill could often be found down at Konstantinou's Restaurant where he would be gathered with a group of friends discussing the most recent hot topics.

There will be no public visitation.  A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be offered on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 1PM in Immanuel United Church of Christ, 1973 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519 (Parking available behind the church and Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel).  Interment Furnaceville Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the church in memory of Bill.  Condolences may be made at www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
