Betty J. Lewis
Wolcott/Lyons: Passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the age of 90. Betty was born in Rochester, NY on February 26, 1930 to the late William and Ida "Gartz" DeCaire. Betty was predeceased by her husband Raymond K. Lewis, brothers and sisters; she is survived by her children, Wiliam (Debra) Lewis, Diana (Ed) Berger, Michael (Cindy) Lewis and Laura (Scott) Warney; 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Betty loved to play games. At family get togethers she would always have some type of game to play. She especially liked Croquet, Bocce ball, Mexican Train and all kinds of card game. Her grandkids will remember playing a game with grandma. She really enjoyed her winters in Florida. She enjoyed all the activities at the rec hall; bingo was her favorite. She and her husband Raymond loved to travel. Together they drove to Alaska, and visited all over the United States including Hawaii. She had even been to Cuba. She loved watching the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse Orange. Usually she yelled at the TV most of the game. She never lost her temper and always tried to make everyone feel included. She loved snacking on Potato chips and dip and socializing with neighbors. She especially liked Fourth of July at their Fair Haven home. She would get sparklers out for all the grandkids and get more excited about the fireworks then the kids. All this was while her health was good until about 6 years ago. Betty will be missed but she will live on through each of us with all the memories she provided.
