Macedon - Bev was predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick) Kelly, her mother, Ellen Wheeler, her sisters, Shirley Edwards-Crosby and Wilma Kohfal-Dickinson. Bev is survived by her six children: Gary Kelly (Wendy Mangold), Peggy Magee, Becki Kelly, Kathleen Hamms, Danny Kelly (Peggy), and Maureen Graham (Scott). Bev is also survived by her 16 grandchildren; Abigail Decker (Rich), Elizabeth Card-Celso (Dan), Tom Kelly (Megan), Jon Kelly (Stephanie), Heather Staples (Trey), Meghan Pauly (Nick Falanga), Lauren Pauly (Anthony Ferrara), Kelly Hilton, Ryanne Close (Jeff), James Mangiamele, Nicholas Mangiamele (Caitlin), Erin Hart, Adam Kelly (Yvonne), Alana Furnari (Joey), Alex Graham, Colin Graham, 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Bev was a very active and beloved member of the Macedon and Macedon Center communities for over 70 years.

After being an at-home care provider for many, many children, she went to work for the Gananda Central School District. Bev held a variety of positions at the school - district secretary when the school was still in its developing stages, 4th grade teacher's aide, special education teacher's aide, and secretary for the administrator for pupil services from which she retired in 2002.

As a faithful member of the Macedon Center United Methodist Church, Bev once again filled many roles and positions. She served for several years as a Sunday school teacher for both children and adults, served on many committees at the church, organized many fundraising events, and also served as a lay leader.

In 1990, the Macedon Town Supervisor asked Bev to run and serve as a member of the Town Board. Bev was registered with the Republican party yet ran on the Democrat ticket and won. This is a great testament to the respect that the community held for her. Bev served on the Town Board as the first female board member and was appointed to Deputy Supervisor in 1991. Bev continued to serve the town until 1997.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 19th, from 4pm - 7pm at Murphy Funeral Home, 1040 Route 31, Macedon, NY. Funeral services will be held the following day, Saturday, May 20th at 10am at the Macedon Center United Methodist Church, 1160 Macedon Center Rd. (Route 31F), Macedon, NY.
