Ontario - Cindy passed away on May 6, 2023 at age 50.  She was survived by her husband, Rob Hoage; daughter, Kailyn Van Slyke; grandchildren, Sawyer, Lincoln, and Marshall Van Slyke; parents, William J. and Carol Van Slyke, Sr.; siblings, William J. (Rena) Van Slyke, Jr. and Keith and Lynne Van Slyke; in-laws, Daniel and Chris Hoage, and Carol and Chris Craft; sister-in-law, Danielle and Gabe DiGennero; many nieces, cousins, and friends.

Cindy loved her community and was heavily involved in community Facebook groups. She was also a very kind and generous woman, willing to help anyone who needed it, full stop. A mother, sister, daughter, friend, animal lover and wife, there was no bounds for her love. Cindy spent much of her life raising her daughter as well as being one of the main caretakers for her three grandsons. She prioritized her family above anything else no matter what. She also fully supported her husband when he was playing in bands and became involved in the local Rochester music scene. She became fast friends with the local musicians. Cindy has touched the lives of so many people. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held on Saturday (May 13), 4 PM Myers-Ingraham American Legion Post 428, 6180 Knickerbocker Rd., Ontario, NY 14519.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Cindy may be directed to FCSA, fibro.org.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
