Diane Mae Tunison

 

Diane Mae Tunison, (née Paulley), age 81, of Interlaken died at Geneva General Hospital on Friday, October 29, 2021.  Diane was born in Newcastle, Wyoming on September 6, 1940 the daughter of the late Gordon and Frances Paulley.  In addition to her parents, Diane was recently preceded in death by her beloved siblings; David Paulley and Donna Hammond.  She was raised in Osage, WY, where her machinist father moved with his bride from back East to work in the oil fields and raise a family. Along with her brother and father, Diane learned to fly. After attending Colorado’s Women’s College, Diane met and in 1963 married Lt. John T. Tunison, of Interlaken, NY. Diane had three children as an Army wife, living in Hawaii, Georgia, Thailand and New Jersey during John’s 20-year career. Following his retirement as a Major, they returned to the Tunison family farm in Interlaken. John passed away on Diane’s birthday, September 6, 2017.

Diane is survived by her children, Julie R. Pleckan of Interlaken, David N. Tunison of Interlaken, and Jeffrey R. Tunison of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren, Sierra and Kurt Pleckan and Emily and Liliana Tunison.
