August 6, 1942 – July 23, 2022

Gerald "Jerry" J. O’Malley, 79 of Webster, NY passed away on July 23, 2022. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Judy; parents, William and Anne O’Malley; brothers, Billy, Robert, Tommy; sisters Joan Joyce and Grace Schimelfenig.

He is survived by loving family; son, Stephen (Lisa) O'Malley; daughter, Sherry (Richard Jr.) Gallatin; grandchildren, Ryan (fiancée Kelly Proud), Shannon, Collin and Shawn O'Malley, Tommy and Brennan Gallatin; brother, John (Jack) O’Malley. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry was born and raised in Scranton, PA, He was a graduate of Cathedral High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He moved from Scranton to Webster in the 1960’s and worked at Xerox as Building 300 facilities manager for close to 30 years.  He loved Notre Dame Football and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed many years of vacations to Gull Lake in Canada and later owning a cottage in the Finger Lakes on Waneta Lake where he shared many great times with family and lifelong friends. He lived on Woodard Road in Webster for 38 years and had many neighborhood friends and neighborhood dogs who enjoyed each other’s company on morning walks.

Special thanks to the many doctors and staff at Rochester General Hospital who treated and cared for him over the last several years.  Also many, many thanks to the staff at Fairport Baptist Homes who cared for him and listened to his stories over the last four and a half years.
