Irving Hallings

Macedon:  Passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the age of 81.  He was born in Pittsford, NY on October 4, 1941 to the late Irving and Madeline Hallings and is also preceded in death by his brother Leonard; sister Barbara and his brother-in-law Tom Maynard.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sue; sons Kevin Hallings, Mark (Mary) Hallings and Brian (Kimberly) Hallings; beloved grandchildren, Isabelle Hallings, Ian Hallings, Chase Hallings, and Alex Cook; sisters, Alice (Bruce) Norton and Rose Hallings; brother, Frank (Kerry) Hallings; sisters-in-law, Kitty Hallings, Norma (Ron) Johnston, Jeanne (Jim) Scantlin; brothers-in-law, John (Diane) Maynard, Bob (Pam) Maynard, Richard Maynard, Stephen (Charlene) Maynard, and Jim (Donna) Maynard; sister-in-law Kathy Maynard.   

Irving was retired from the Eastman Kodak Company.  He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Syracuse Basketball and enjoyed playing euchre.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation, on Monay, April 10, 2023 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  A Memorial Mass to celebrate the life of Irving will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 52 Main Street, Macedon, NY 14502, on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 10AM.  Inurnment will follow at Macedon Village Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy in the form a donation in memory of Irving may be directed to the Macedon Town Ambulance, 1620 Wayneport Road, Macedon, NY 14502, or to a charity of choice.  Please visit the tribute wall for Irving's obituary to leave a condolence, or share photographs at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
