“Jack”

East Rochester – Jack passed away on March 30, 2023 at age 65.  He was predeceased by his father, John M. Dillon.  Jack is survived by his mother, Naomi Dillon; siblings, Susan Dillon, Becky (Christopher) Tillett, Timothy (Rita) Dillon, Lori Dillon, and Patrick Dillon; nieces and nephews, Darby Pyfrom, Lucas (Cassie Olsson) Pyfrom, Madison Dillon; great niece, Angela Evarts; many cousins and friends.

Born and raised in Palmyra, Jack was the eldest of 6. His artistic and musical gifts became apparent at a young age with his drawing and painting. As a teen, he taught himself to play the flute and the fife, and traveled abroad with the Fife and Drum Corps.  At age 21 Jack packed a suitcase and headed west to San Diego where he spent much of his adulthood crafting his artistic skills and finding joy in his gardening. He later moved to Las Vegas, and then after the death of his dad, Jack decided to leave sunny LV and move back to snowy Rochester to be closer to his family. 

Along with his gifted music and artistic skills, Jack loved to cook and was a movie buff. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and great uncle and loved to make people laugh.

Whether entertaining us playing his flute, getting down and dirty in his garden, making decorative eggs for his family and friends, picking on his Great niece, or just spending time with family and friends, Jack had a love and zest for life. While we will miss him terribly, he is now in heaven reunited with his Dad and all his loved ones who were waiting for him with open arms.

Jack is now at peace, adorning heaven with the most beautiful gardens and angelic music.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 3-6 PM on Tuesday (April 4) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502, where a prayer service will be held at 6 PM.
