Formerly of East Aurora and Snyder, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Kay is predeceased by her beloved horse, Marcus, and her golden retrievers Connor and Reddy. She is survived by her sister Amy Palmer of Bridgehampton, NY, her brother Joseph of Chambersburg, PA, three nephews, their wives, and several grand-nieces and nephews.
Kay worked for 40 years as a flight attendant with American Airlines on both domestic and international flights. She learned to ride in her 30s and bought Marcus in 1970. Together they earned many ribbons in hunter/jumper competitions. She took up running in her 40s, winning races in her age class and completing a marathon at age 46.
Kay’s family wishes to thank the staff of Brookdale Pittsford in Pittsford, NY for their care when she could no longer live alone. Many heartfelt thanks to Kim Strauss and her horses at Renegade Wind in Honeoye Falls for hours of joy over the past three years.
