Lauri Ann Cleason “Lor” “Love ya Lady” “Mama Bear”
Palmyra: Was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on January 15th, 2022, at 58 years old, with her family by her side at Newark Wayne Community hospital.
Lauri was born Monday, April 8th,1963, in Ithaca NY to William and Bonnie Thibodeau. Lauri would move several times in her early life before settling in Canandaigua NY where she would attend Canandaigua Academy and then CCFL (FLCC). While studying in college she met her future husband, Gregg Cleason. She attained her Associates Degree in Business Administration, upon her graduation.
After being married Lauri and Gregg would move out West during Gregg’s service in the military only to return to Palmyra NY, 6 years later, where they would raise their two daughters Jehenna and Rachelle. Lauri was a well-known individual in the Palmyra community working for many years as a Pharmacy Technician at the local Rite Aid (now Walgreen’s) pharmacy where her warm smile and friendly disposition comforted many. Lauri was known for her infectious smile, kind, warm hugs and welcoming personality. Her interests included reading, hiking, spending time with her family, watching films, antiquing, and baking (of which she would always share her cookies).
She is survived by her husband Gregg Cleason; daughters Jehenna Cleason and Rachelle Belden, mother Bonnie Thibodeau, brother Bill Thibodeau, and grandchildren Tallulah and Arlo Belden.
Lauri was preceded in death by her father William Thibodeau.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 5 to 7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY 14522.
