Pittsford - Peter passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 24th. He is survived by his two daughters, Liz and Cece, their mother Pat, his brother Paul, and his sister Susan Hyland (Frey).

He was a genuine man and much loved. Peter's daughters were raised to believe they had the world at their fingertips and to know he was always with them at heart. His life long friends Ronnie Parrish and Jimmy Helfer, as well as their families, were prevalent in his daughters' lives and enjoyed many adventures outdoors with him camping, fishing and boating, hunting, and sharing stories around bonfires or a grill. He felt most at home in nature. Tending his family's land along with the wild animals on it with his brother was a pleasure and high priority for him, so much so, he ensured it would be available to be loved by many by passing it to the Nature Conservancy, allowing it to be open for public enjoyment.

Peter always aimed to have a good time and be surrounded by like minded people. He attended bible study, visited with his sister regularly, hung out with a local motorcycle chapter, volunteered, and supported everyone in his life with love and laughter. He put his heart into everything he did and loved to share his thoughts and feelings through songs he most often wrote and recorded alongside his friend, Paul Lane. You never found him at a campfire without a guitar in hand and original song on his lips, often after tending to dinner and everyone else's wants first.

He taught service above self as seen by his work with Pittsford Rotary club, he was always available to anyone who called on him, day or night, and his impact on the lives around him will last for years to come much like the thousands of pictures he captured of moments dear to him. May he never be forgotten.
