Raymond J. Foy
“Ray”
Ontario: Ray leaves his son, Stephen J. Foy and daughter, Linda A. (Foy) Fennell; granddaughter, Courtney A. Fennell; brother, Jack and sister, Kay.
He grew up in Charlotte, where his father owned a well-known plumbing business. Ray was part of a large family. He had 5 brothers and had 4 sisters.
Ray proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. from 1952-1954. He was stationed in the United States and Far East Japan.
Ray attended RIT and majored in Chemistry for Film Making. He later worked for Eastman Kodak. He was also self-employed in numerous business ventures including a marina, motel and restaurant. Spent much of his free time working at marinas and boats-up until the time of his death. Ray was a self-taught CAD designer and truly enjoyed working with computers and design.
Ray enjoyed spending time with friends, Ginny and Rex in Penn Yan, where they allowed him to work on his boat. He would share many memories and spoke fondly of Ginny and Rex.
He also enjoyed reading mysteries, listening to classical music and playing his harmonica.
And finally, Ray owned over 100 cars in his lifetime and couldn't pass up a good deal!!
He will be missed.
