Valerie M. Gill
Farmington: On Sunday, February 16, 2020, we lost an entertainer, singer, actress, entrepreneur, producer and loving friend. Valerie M. Gill (nee Dennis) went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long battle with multiple myeloma. She is predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Nellie Dennis, along with her husband Warren of fifty years. Valerie leaves behind her "adopted" family, Christopher, Jennifer, Taylor (Nick, Evelynn and Colton Curry), Bailey (Parker) Countryman, James and Teresa Halsey; three sisters-in-law, Debbie, Sharon and Janice; brother-in-law Roger; daughters, Dianna of Florida and Heather of Pennsylvania. She will be greatly missed by her cats Mr. Bing and Ms. Helen.
Valerie started her career at the age of 9 singing solos in church. From there she went on to study music and theater at Ithaca College, FLCC, and Nazareth College. She has performed in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Nevada. In 1995, Valerie helped the Downstairs Cabaret in Rochester get back on it's feet and up and running. In 2000 she built a 236 seat auditorium at the Norman Howard School in Rochester for the learning disabled. Valerie wants to thank her caregivers Jennifer Countryman, Taylor Curry, Bailey Countryman and Teresa Halsey for making her life enjoyable. She's extremely grateful for them.
