Macedon: Robert died suddenly on June 23, 2016 at age 79. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Ann Marie Gross.  Bob is survived by his children, Daniel Gross, Bob (Nancy) Gross and Laurie (Patrick) O'Shaughnessy; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ian) Boni, Kevin, David, Jon, Jaci (Caleb Lail) and Michaela (Cory Dupre) Gross, Brendan and Jill O'Shaughnessy; four great grandchildren, Nicholas, Lyra, Luca and Sophie; several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his very special friend, Mary Jane Devlin.

At 79 years young, Bob loved working in his yard, helping neighbors, taking care of his children and grandchildren's cars, camping and spending time at Waneta Lake.  He enjoyed working at Integrity Auto with Greg Frey and helping at his daughter's YMCA whenever he could. Bob was a lifetime member of the Macedon Village Fire Department.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation on Tuesday (June 28) from 4-7 PM at Murphy Funeral Home (Macedon Chapel), 1040 rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday (June 29) at 10 AM.  Interment in White Haven Memorial Park.  Donations in Bob's memory may be directed to the Canandaigua YMCA Annual Campaign, 32 N.
