From the first time I remember meeting Karen, and every subsequent time, she always had that big smile, a warm hug and kind words. Feeling privileged for the photos she took for me, so many years ago. My prayers and thoughts are with you Jim.

My thoughts are with you during this time of sorrow. I knew Karen years ago when we all lived on Plank Road. She was a loving and caring person then, I'm sure she was even more so through out her life

Karen will always be in my heart as a special childhood friend. Treking through Mendon Ponds, getting soaked and then sitting by the fire and sharing the great Terrano repasts were wonderful times. As an adult, I was touched to be able to read the beautiful poems Karen created. I am grateful for being able to see the patient, generous and caring person into whom she fully blossomed.
My deepest sympathies to family and friends who miss her beautiful soul in this life.
Love,
Joey

You always had a smile and kind words for me and the officers when stopping in at the highway department. You will be greatly missed and know that it's people like you that made so many others a better person for having known you. Sherman Yates, Chief of Police

My life has been enriched from being friends with Karen in my life. Karen had some limitation in her life and could not accomplish everything she dreamed of. But she always encouraged me to go for my dreams even with my limitations in my life. Looking back I was able to travel to Australia and adopt to beautiful girls and I did much more with Karen’s support.
I also remember her love for one book that we talked about often was the Harry Potter series. I am not a great reader but she encouraged me to read Harry Potter. I know she was trying to get me to practice reading but I honestly did not like to read. I told her that I started reading Harry Potter but I actually went and bought audiotapes and listen to the series. She laughed and said well that’s another way to read them. But it gave us a lot more to talk about and to connect with. When the movies came out we always went together to see them.
There was one time Karen was in the hospital getting hip replacement and we ordered the DVD I believe is the second book. Since she was in the hospital she asked me to pick up her DVD. I made arrangements with her for that Friday night to pick up dinner for the both of us a fish fry and eat it in her hospital room. I pulled out the DVD and she said to me well thanks very much for picking it up. But I know what was going through her mind what am I gonna do with it in the hospital there is nothing to watch it on. When she did not know in my other hand behind my back was a portable DVD player when I pulled it out. Her face just split up she was so excited to watch Harry Potter. I’ll never forget that smile on her face.
Karen love the simple things it was easy to please. A few of her favorite thing are roses, baking, photography, animals, writing poetry, kids and her love for her family and friends.
She will be dearly missed

Try to Remember

They say God does thing in a mysterious way
So why He took Karen no one can say
But it’s all in His plan, much to our dismay
And I hope the plan eases as you live day to day

I want to express my sympathy
But I know not the grief you feel
A wife is the closest friend you can have
And I will your loss is painfully real

Try to remember the beautiful woman
One to whom children meant so much
She gives of herself, her love and her kindness
And she knows that their hearts she truly did touch

Try to remember Karen as you knew her
That wonderful laugh and that smile so fine
She’ll always be with you, tucked in your memory
Ready to share a happier time

God in His infinite wisdom has taken
Someone you love sweet and true
I hope you find comfort and knowing the future
will bring happy memories back unto you

With Deepest Sympathy
