Diane, Lin, Lee, I'm sorry to hear that Mme. Roney has passed away earlier this summer. I have fond memories of her during four years of French classes, at parties of Diane's, and via correspondence which she carried out with me for decades after my high school graduation. I remember girls in high school speaking with admiration of her style. She was kind, gentle, humorous, and thoughtful. I am still enjoying occasional trips to Paris and never fail to think of her as I try to pull French phrases out of mothballs. My condolences to you and your families. She will be missed.

So sorry I was not able to be at the service today... So many thoughts and prayers go out to all of you-her precious family. She was my teacher of French and life lessons from 1970-1974 and beyond. I treasured our visits and her letters-seems she never stopped being my teacher and friend. I will miss her dearly. I only hope she knew, and that you all know-that she meant the world and more to me. God Bless, Sue Henry Netting

My deepest sympathy to the Roney family. Your Mom was my French teacher back in the early 1980's and I loved her and that class so much! She had such passion for the French language and culture. Repose en paix, Madame Roney! Debbie (Kuntz) Donaghue, Pal-Mac Class of '83.

Deeply sorry for the loss of such a great Mom and a wonderful lady as Marie Roney.
I have countless fond memories of you...each one of them is priceless.
Mom, you have been my dearest Mom ever since I met you for the first time as my AFS host mother at the Greyhound Bus Station back in 1972. You have also been a great grandma to Nobutaka and Keigo.Thank you for your long lasting, big love to me and to my family! Though I miss you so much, I sincerely pray and believe that you enjoy now being with Jesus and with your beloved husband and my Dad.

I send my condolences to Lee, Lin, Diane and all the Roney family.
Please let me be with you in prayers, though so far away, during the calling hour and the funeral service today and tomorrow..and always.
Riko (Noriko Yasui and the family), Japan

Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to be in any of her classes, I always heard positive comments about Mrs. Rodney. May you rest in peace.
I am very sorry for your loss. I will keep all who and loved her in my thoughts and prayers. God bless everyone.
