Dear Suzie,
fr evalyn: I only met Bob once at the cousins reunion in the early part of the turn of the century. What struck me most was the relationship that Tom had with Bobby. Bobby was his male role model and Bob accepted it with sweetness not wanting to push Tom away but understanding the importance of this role put upon him.
My own personal experiences of when a person transitions is that once we can get past the idea of separation we really stay connected with the love that was experienced with the person when they were with us. So my only hope is that the Love you shared may soon erase all the bodily longings, move you to appreciation for the years that you had, and the love that was shared.
fr Tom: Dear Sue, Bob was really like a brother to me. I looked up to him and his memory will live forever within me. I wrote him and told him this while he was alive. I remember wearing his old lofers and engineer boots. Bob had a gentle way and I always looked forward to being with him. I'll miss him. Come to Maine for a visit when you can. You can stay with us. It may be good to have a change of scenery. Love Tom

Our sincere condolences Sue, Rob and all the family - our country has lost an MVP and we have lost a wonderful neighbor and friend. We accomplished the task of getting water on our road - and though it was a long "battle" - WE WON!!!

Bob was a good friend of mine whom I first met while working in the Water Purification Tunnel in Rochester, N.Y. Bob was my boss first and coworker second. He was always the first one at work and would be on his second coffee before most of the rest of us got to work. He was a fair and just boss and became a great friend of mine. We worked on many projects together and I could always trust his judgment and regarded his word as gold. I was a protester during Vietnam but since 1996 have called Bob on every Veteran's Day to thank him for his service to our country.(2.5 tours)
I will miss Bob as good friends are few and far between.
