Fairport:  Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Dorothy joined her beloved husband Gordon as she went to be with the Lord Jesus on December 14, 2015.  Dorothy was born on November 5, 1931 in Batavia, New York to Frederick and Eleanor (Webb) Wight.  She is survived by her children; Joyce (Jim) Foos, Doris Wagner, Gene (Sue) Wagner, Kathy (Michael) Hill, and Mary (Molly Fogler) Wagner; grandchildren, Mark (Shannan) Foos, Navy LCDR Ken (Charlene) Foos, Henry (Hannah) Wagner, Bennett Wagner, Holly (Carmen) Jones, Melanie Jones, Aliza Guttman, Jesse Guttman, Gordon Hill, Andrea Hill, and Tyler Hill; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Julianna Foos, Alexa and Jacob Foos; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Wight; nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends and her dog, Zoe.

Dorothy loved the farm that she and Gordon worked together for so many years.  She loved the animals. Dorothy enjoyed the outdoors whether it was working, or simply taking in all that nature had to offer.  In her memory, take a moment to step outdoors to enjoy a sunrise, a sunset, or simply to watch a bird in flight.  She was an accomplished craftswoman who spent countless hours crocheting hats and blankets for soldiers, and most recently for the babies and children staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester.  A great honor to Dorothy would be for a donation to be made in her memory to your favorite charity.

No prior visitation, and at Dorothy's request, all services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Elmwood Cemetery in Fairport, NY.  Online condolences may be made at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
