Dear Eric, Valerie, Melissa and staff...This card is way overdue and I apologize. I want to thank everyone who did a phenomenal job helping with my mom's funeral arrangements. It was an extremely sad time but you all made it easier. My mom was ill for quite a while, but the embalming made my mom look healthier and more peaceful. Your entire staff showed compassion and professionalism at all times. We have always had a positive experience with Murphy's. You helped with my infant son in 1990 and my dad in 2020. Thank you all again.
Theresa Congelosi

We apprciate all of Dawn and John's help in helping to get us through the celebration at the Baptist Church. It really was a beautiful service. We are grateful for you all and for planting a tree in our dad's memory. As you know he did love all his trees in his orchard on the farm.
Everything you have done meant the world to us.
Sincerely, Beth, Doug and family
Thank you Wayne for the professional care and thoughtfulness of my dad's arrangements. Your attention to detail and coordination of the military salute was impeccable. My dad didn't talk a lot about his service but I am sure he was happy by the honor. Please pass along our thanks to all those that participated. The "pins" you described and handed out were a special touch. Thank you for letting us know that dad is holding his Notre Dame hat in hand. Again, thank you.
To the good folks at Murphy's Funeral Home

Dear Wayne and Darcy:
I want to say that you both made this nightmare as easy as it could be given the circumstances. Wayne, you truly have a gift and are so good at what you do. My dad felt great comfort from you. Thank you Brophy's from the bottom of our hearts.
Wayne, Eric and staff...We cannot thank you enough for all that you did for our family before, and after, Larry's passing. He is the love of my life, the rock of our family foundation, and hero to our grandchildren. Thank you so much. Thank you for working with Rev. Gail to record the service which gave me comfort to share with out of town family and friends. We are so pleased to have professional, personal friends like you in our greatest time of need.

Dear Wayne and all the good folks at Murphy Funeral & Cremation...Thank you very much for your awesome participation on our quilt raffle!!! This is a fairly unusual fundraiser for us so we are particularly pleased to get all your entries entered into the drawing. Your organization, along with Wayne and his participation on our Board of Directors is very supportive of our mission here at the Pines of Peace...'neighbors helping neighbors" is obviously more than a slogan to you all and without the support of people like you. We are so appreciative of each and every one of you! Most Sincerely, Terry.

Wayne...Thank your for sending out book one " Pain of Grief" by Doug Manning. I want you to know it was an eye opener and sense of relief to me. Thanks again for the great job and support
My mother's death, as everyone can attest, has been an overwhelming and heartbreaking thing. I wasn't sure where to begin. From the beginning to her cremation, the people at Murphy's treated my family as though they were part of my family. The staff, Wayne in particular, informed us of the choices available as well as what to expect with a caring, calmness and sensitivity for the loss the family is feeling. These are good people making a difficult time much easier.
I want to thank everyone at Murphy's for making my family and I feel so at ease with dealing with the death of my husband Frederick. Your compassion and kindness was very comforting.
Thelma Wright and family
Dear Wayne,

Dear Wayne and all the wonderful folks at Murphy's
Thank you so much for the role you played in the donation made in memory of Lucille Brown. Murphy's had always been so supportive of the work we do at the Pines and our mission. The whole concept of caring for those at the end of their earthly lives is made possible through a caring community that you are all a part of and an example of that caring and tangible support.
Chris, my family, and I would like to thank you...everything was absolutely beautiful! It couldn't be any better. You guys and your staff are amazing.
Dear Murphy Funeral Home Folks...We are so grateful for all the help and care you gave our family after the passing of our mom, Judy Wooster. Dear Eric and Wayne
We so appreciate the "hand-holding" you have provided for our family as you are helping us through our terrible sorrow. You are both excellent in your care for us and have taken so much of the burden and confusion off of us all. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
My family and I would like to reach out and express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all of you. Today marks 3 weeks since our family tragically lost 2 amazing people. We'll never be the same again. The community at large also suffered this loss and so we wanted to share that we have plans to help pay it forward through scholarships in their names with any funds remaining after all the expenses have been settled. We know that we're not alone and that love, support and kindness is what has been helping us and will continue to help us heal. Their are so many people to thank, but we especially need to thank Murphy's Funeral Home, the Green Angles and Cross Creek Church as they too have helped us so much- between their generosity, opening their doors and quick replies it allowed us to plan an amazing tribute so we could pay honor and respect to my brother Conrad and grandma Mary Ruth.
Wayne I thought your interview on T.V. was excellent; you guys tell it like it should be. We're very very happy the way you treated us in our time of sorrow. Murphys is the best...thank you for everything.
I wanted to let people know that Murphy’s Funeral Home is the perfect place to say goodbye to Ron. I also want to point out that they have TOYS FOR TOTS boxes just inside their doors. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support
Dear Wayne
Our family would like to thank you (and your staff) for the caring and compassionate way you handled Russell's funeral. From the prompt and gentle first meeting through the efficient and smooth flowing services, we felt we could contact and count on you. The friends and relatives we have spoken to since the funeral agree with us. So thank you again for your management with dignity.
The Taber Family,

Wayne,
I didn’t get to talk to you much after the memorial but everything was GREAT! Many compliments on how nice it was. Your staff was great too.
You did a masterful, caring and compassionate job as host.
Thanks again,
Tony & Cindy Syracuse
Thank you Eric & Wayne and all those at Murphy Funeral Home for your kindness and attention to detail. From my first phone call after Mom's (Helen Kulesa) passing to our last meeting, you were all respectful, accommodating, and helpful in every way. The quilt was a personal, comforting touch that was so unexpected but very much appreciated. The service was well-coordinated and the pin was a sweet touch. Can't thank you enough.
Thank you for your generous contribution to Palmyra Canaltown Days 2019! These funds will be used to support our festival to be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 14 & 15, 2019. Again, thank you for your support!
Dear Wayne and Co...
Just a note to say thank you for your caring and respectful treatment of my mom, Dorothy B. Lux, and her funeral. This is not an easy time and every single person I came into contact with from Murphy's was soft spoken, calming and caring. Little details that seemed so overwhelming magically took care of themselves and not request was too crazy (ashes of deceased cat in casket? Sure!) to be executed. Thanks so much for making us feel welcome, and for your very good care.
With my very best regards...
Heidi Kesler-Lux
On behalf of the James R. Hickey American Legion Post #120, Thank you for your generous donation to our Boy's State Program. Your contribution to this program helps ensure we can reach as many boys as possible. Our children and youth are one of the four pillars of the American Legion. We cannot begin to thank you both for everything you did to guide us through the process of planning our mom's, Marceline O'Connor, service. Everything was just lovely. Thank you so much. We would highly recommend your service to our friends and family. With a grateful heart.
Maureen and Vance Kannapel
Wayne,
Thank you for all your help this year. This has been the toughest year of my life. the books you sent me have been very helpful. I learned that grief can be messy, it is ongoing, and can strike at any time. I also learned how to celebrate the good times and the awesome memories we shared. I went to Rochester last week to be with my kids, on an emotional weekend, it was Blazette's birthday. I believe we became even closer. We laughed, cried, hugged and shared stories. Again, thank you, and Darcy, for your support. You are a true and caring friend. I would love to see you when I come up to NY again, probably late April, or early May. We'll talk soon. Paul and family
Dear Wayne
Thank you for helping us to make Dad's memorial service special for him and us. He would have been pleased with it all. Please thank Eric, and everyone else who made the day go smoothly.
Have a blessed day.

I would like to thank you both for being so helpful and making things so much easier for me. From my first sit down to the day we said our goodbyes, everyone was professional, helpful and friendly.
Both family, and so many of our guests commented on how nice everything was and were very impressed with what a great job Murphy's had done.
With much appreciation.

Eric,
Please accept our heartfelt thanks from all of the Slocum family on the most professional service and tribute to our daughter by you and your staff. Everyone who attended the graveside service commented on your wonderful words of sympathy. Please accept our apologies for the excitement we caused during calling hours, but to let you know everyone is okay. We are wishing you, and your family, a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
To the staff at Murphy Funeral Home:
Thank you for your guidance, compassion, and empathy during the loss of our husband/father. You are all very special people and the community is fortunate to have your services. Thanks again!
Shirley, Julie, Jerry, Jessica and Jeffrey
Dear Eric, Wayne and Staff:
When we first met many years ago at St. Mary's, I never thought that some day I would be on the receiving end of your services. It's been almost a year since Nelson passed and I don't think I properly thanked you for your compassion shown to our family. I knew we were in good hands. Everything at church was beautiful, and the special attention to Nelson's love of hockey was a special touch.
Wayne,
Thank you so much for everything you and the funeral home did for us. The service was great and having the Marines come made it so special. I know my dad would of been honored. Thanks for making this process so smooth for our family.
-Kimberly

Dear Eric, Wayne and Steve...thank you for the beautiful healing heart keepsake. It is an all encompassing volume. The readings provide me with peace and support. It is a treasure I look forward to sharing it with my family especially the grandchildren.
Yours truly,
Sharon Lockemeyer
Just a quick note to express my thanks for all your help in giving my mom a special "send-off" we were all happy with. As they say in my trade, you have a "good bedside manner" (graveside manner just doesn't seem to resonate as well). My compliments are echoed by my sister and my oldest daughter. They found your team much more attentive when compared to funeral home experiences for loved ones in Troy, NY and New Jersey respectively in recent years.
So until the next death certificate needs signing, God Bless, and good luck withstanding the buffeting winds of the Internet.
Sincerely,
Neal Smith
Dear Dawn and Wayne,

Thank you so much for making dad's funeral a great celebration of his life. Everything went off as planned with no glitches. My whole family thought you were all so caring and accommodating. I would highly recommend your services to my friends!
Thank you again for everything.
Hi Wayne,
I really appreciate all the work that you and the Murphy staff did to assist our family. It was great to have you walk my mom and I through the planning phase a few years ago and then explaining the plan to my brothers when mom passed. Thanks for all your support throughout!
See you around the triangle!
Mike
To the staff of Murphy's
The family of Caroline Anna Zahra would like to thank you all for so much. For the respect, kindness, patience and efficiency in all matters. This is such a difficult and emotional time in life and you all gave so much support and words of reassurance. Mom would have been so grateful for the beautiful service and transport to her final resting place. Her wish to be buried with her one true love, Thom Morganstern, was accomplished thanks to your assistance in transporting her to the Long Island National Cemetery. A special thank you to Eric and Steve for your time, your kindness, your answers to many of our questions during this period of time.
Murphy Funeral Home staff, thank you for your service to us and Ernie.
Clara Prince
On behalf of Willard Milliman’s family we would like to thank Eric Van Zeilen and Charlie Zeigler and Murphy Funeral and Cremation Services for their outstanding service when our Dad passed away. The worst day of the snowstorm of March 2017, they picked up our Dad from the hospital and met with us to start arrangements. Their compassionate professionalism was a steadying force during those trying days. They seamlessly handled all the arrangements and at so many opportunities, Eric made remarks that were so needed and comforted us all. Due to the snowstorm, we were not able to bury our Dad, but they again quietly took care of all the arrangements a month later. So very thankful for all that you did for our family.
I wanted to take the time to thank you all so very much for your kindness and professionalism with the arrangements for mom! A big "thank you" for the pizza at the end of a long night!! Many, many thank you's .
Pat, Jenifer, Katie, Tatum Smyth
Wayne
Do you have the story of the wreath pin? It is such a beautiful thing to do and I want to send a pin to two of my high school buddies who always called her Mom. I would like to send the explanation of the pin, but under the circumstances, I don't remember all of it.
Thank you for providing such a beautiful beginning for her life with Papa.
Jean
Dear Wayne,
Your steadfast guidance and compassion guided us through the worst days of our lives. The flowers were beautiful and the arrangements perfect. Thank you Wayne
Dear Wayne,
Thank you so much for all that you did to make it easier for me, and my sister, at the time of my mom's passing. It was so frustrating to try and find the phone numbers, and to get through, to the caretaker of the cemetery, the priest and the monument company. I don't know what I would have done without your help. Billings monuments did a great job and the stone was in place on the day of the service.
It was a beautiful day in spite of the circumstances. It was great to see so many friends and family gather to celebrate my mother's long life. Father O'Hare is a remarkable speaker. The Mass was beautiful.
Best Regards,
Kathy Madden
The family of Priscilla Zonneville wants to thank the entire staff of Murphy Funeral Home for their compassionate care in our time of need

Wayne and the staff at Murphy's:
Thank you so much for all that you have done. Your thoughtfulness for every detail has made this difficult time in our lives seem much easier to get through. Meghan is a wonderful young lady and will not be forgotten. She touched a lot of lives. Our memories are all we have now... but what wonderful memories they are. I miss her so very much as so many others do. Thank you so much for caring, and for the caring and respect you gave to Meghan.

On behalf of my entire family, I just wanted to say thank you for helping me through the process of planning my mom's funeral. Everything seemed 'just right' and I do appreciate how easy you made it for me and how smoothly it all went. Thank you.
I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Eric Van Zeilen and his staff for the way they took care of my late wife Lalena. From taking her into their care from the hospital shortly after her passing to the arrangements at the Macedon Chapel
every detail was handled with kindness and concern for her dignity. Words can
barely express the relief and gratitude I have for Eric's caring and professional
treatment in taking care of every detail of our wishes. He truly made the worst
time in my life easier to bear.

Thank you for all that you did for our family and Meghan. It was the most beautifully arranged funeral I had ever seen. Y'all put in so much time, energy, and thoughtfulness and everyone commented that you took the time to make it special for us. I keep replaying the services in my mind on my 16 hour drive home and there's not one thing I would do different. The most amazing part for me was the time you gave me with my baby sister on Wednesday. That helped my soul release guilt of things I needed to say face to face. I told her how much I loved her, cared for her, and how sorry I was as I stroked her hair. That was a gift I could never repay you for. Thank you, and all your staff, for making it such a memorable service for our family and friends.
With deepest gratitude.
Paula Clifton

Dear Wayne, Eric and family members, thank you for all of your support and attention to details with Ernie's funeral arrangements. The memorial service was touching and attendees specifically provided positive feedback on the poem, the pins and symbolism, and the beautiful handcrafted carrier. They were added touches that made the service memorable. Ernie would be (is) pleased to know how smoothly, even with rain in the mix, the memorial went and for you to handle all of the details. On behalf of the VanderMolen family, our sincere gratitude. Best, Donna

Dear Wayne and Brenda:
We have now closed the life cycle on earth for our good brother Harry Wachob. On Saturday, July 25, 2015 services were held for him at the Presbyterian Church in Punxsutawney, PA. It was a very nice service with all family and friends coming away feeling very good about Harry's journey. He will be missed but today he is with his family that have gone before him. I am sure it will be a great reunion, even better than the sixty that have been held here. I can't begin to thank you for the help and support that we have received from both of you. Wayne, the excellent support that you gave us throughout Harry's difficult time here in Rochester. Everything from helping us to plan his journey, to e-mails asking us if you could help in any way. Brenda, you provided the care and support for Harry once he was received in Punxsutawney. Laying him to rest next to his wife Yvonne and his mother and father. Making sure the pastor was there to bless his interment.
Our family, and especially me, can not thank you enough for all that you have done. I feel like I know have two new friends based on the way you have treated the care of my big brother Harry and the compassion shown towards our family. The two of you are very special people and I feel I am a better person for having had the opportunity of meeting you.
Very best regards,
Paul Wachob

The word professionalism is tossed around a lot in many types of business. When it comes to the Funeral business it gets to the personal level. I have had the opportunity to use the services of Murphy Funeral Home and Cremation Chapels. I can only say that the standard of excellence in this business if set by this company. No stone goes unturned. The attention to detail is impeccable to the point of the deceased favorite candies being made available to the visitors. The chapel in Palmyra, is like gong to visit a friends house. I had my wife's service there and heard may comments of how quaint the house looked and how well kept up it was. I had family from Oklahoma who have never seen such a beautiful funeral home. The staff is just truly professional. They take the time to explain every detail and really put a emphases on service. I can only say when it comes to the rest Murphy's is the best. Thank you Steve, Wayne, Eric and the staff behind the scenes who follow up on everything I didn't think of. My wife would have been very happy to receive her friends at your wonderful facility.
Eric...Thank you for everything ! We were truly blessed to have you guide us through it. Thank you.

Hi Wayne...as we are fast approaching Kyle's one year anniversary on November 20th, I just wanted to send you a quick note to say "thank you"! You were so patient and kind during everything. I can't thank you enough for all you did that a company such as yours does not have to...I still look back and think about how you and Eric went out of your way to wear your reindeer hats to celebrate his life right along with us on the day of his burial! He is at total peace now with a beautiful bench at his grave. We are holding a candlelight vigil outside my sister's home, this Thursday, November 20th at 6:45PM. You are so welcome to join us if you are able. Again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of our family and friends!

Just wanted to give a big "Thank you" for everything you did for us in the death of our mother. We also appreciate the time you spent looking for an urn to fit her niche. Also, for the little bags of M&Ms. At a low point in our lives, it was comforting to know you had things covered. We couldn't have asked for better.
Thank you.

You do it all quietly and with respect and compassion. You made yourself available to us to make the arrangements on a Sunday and every other moment we needed a question answered, or had a concern. You were completely responsive to every detail and you eased the entire process immeasurably.
