Ontario: Formerly of Clifton Springs, NY, passed away on June 4, 2017 at age 76.  Ron was born in Rochester, NY to the late Raymond Modzel and Evelyn Fedigan Voisey. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Jackie Modzel Lees and Debbie Voisey.  Ron is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan Denniston Modzel; children, Mary (Lance), Pamela (Virgil), Theresa (Mike) and Ronald Letitia;  grandchildren, Brianna, Trinity and Ethan; older brother, Raymond and younger brother, Chuck Voisey; numerous siblings, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many special friends, whom he considered family.

Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army for 4 years, followed by over 20 years of service in the U.S. Army Reserves.  He retired from ABVI in Rochester in 2007 after 25 years of service.  Ron owned and operated Cousins Luigi’s Pizza shop in Clifton Springs, NY.  A lifetime member of the Clifton Springs Fire Department, Ron served in roles of assistant Chief and Chief and received fireman of the decade award.  Ron enjoyed camping at his place on Lake Bluff and had a love for traveling to places where the weather was warm.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday (June 10) at Clifton Springs Fire Hall, 39 Kendall St., Clifton Springs, NY 14432.  Interment in Sampson Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Clifton Springs Fire Department, P.O.
